Wait.. I thought it wasn't about religion? Where in his religious text is it written that gay marriage is wrong/'against his religion'? Sounds like he's just a douchebag to me.

Well. That is just your ignorance showing. Nobody has contested his religious belief is sincere. That is the standard FYI.

If you have nothing to contribute outside of your ignorance, please pipe down and let the adults talk. Thanks.

It should be easily quoted from his religious text.. let's see it. Unless he's just making that shite up

Making a custom cake is no different than making a plain cake for sale to the general public - he’s not being compelled to “speak”/participate in a gay wedding in violation of his religion...he’s just selling cakes.

It has nothing to do with speech. If he has a sincere religious belief that is all it takes. That has not been contested. The only question is if a state protected class trumps a sincere religious belief. If you believe it should...so be it. But that is the question.

Can you cite a single case that states this as the standard? Or can you cite a single argument in this case that aligns with yours. You confuse your personal ignorance with how the law works.

Memes don't make law. Thankfully. But I appreciate you declaring how easily you are manipulated

Jesus did command sinners to repent of their sins. Perhaps the baker would have done better to call them sinners and call them to repent of their sins and believe in Jesus while he took their cake order. That'd make you happy, right?

this new brand of liberal (like you) is so lazy and trite. I long for the days of VB and Rex, where we could get actual argument. Not this lazy crap you guys bring.

Bless your heart. You just aren't smart enough.

I'm asking a biblical question. Let's have a theological discussion.
Did Jesus die so that you wouldn't have to sell cakes to homos?

Why would we have a biblical discussion in a thread about the law? Do you disagree with separation of church and state?

Because this case concerns supposed religious justification for not selling cakes to homos.

Is that the 11th commandment?
Thou shalt not customize a cake for homos?

Then you should probably work on being less ignorant about the standard for religious justification. The standard isn't "show me the text". The standard is "sincerely held". If you weren't such an ignorant moron you would know that.

There are 2 questions. I think they fit together. You want to focus on one and not the other. Fine. But the justices zeroed in today on whether baking is or isn’t speech.

I'm convinced you are a conservative posing as a liberal. No way someone can be this ignorant. You got me.

So you're saying that you 'sincerely hold' the belief that Jesus died so that you wouldn't have to sell cakes to homos?

All it takes is one. You don't have to satisfy both. The burden is on those attempting to limit the first amendment. So you have to overcome both. Not just one.

I don't understand why it's necessary for some people to advertise every aspect of their personal lives. If you want the damn cake, just keep your trap shut for 10 seconds.

Um. Exactly how would you go about getting a custom wedding cake made without discussing the wedding cake?

My God. I haven't discussed my beliefs at all. I am simply discussing the law. Your characterization is ignorant, simple, and irrelevant. I am amazed you can type and breathe at the same time.
