But the problem lies in this. As a minority you sometimes have to live in 2 worlds, your ethnic world and the assimilated world.
Study's keep showing that many white oeople have entirely white immediate circles. Essentially they don't have to venture into 2 worlds, so to speak, or come from 2 worlds, to make it.
That's fine, and that's life.
But it is hard to reason the opinions of white conservatives (some are good, and I agree with some) who may not interact with minorities in their private lives and their only interactions are from work or anecdotal. Many of our experiences and stories come from navigating these worlds and seeing that due to lack of exposure or knowledge, that some people may not get it.
The attitude from some conservatives rubs off as respectability politics, which sometimes smells as if it's disingenious. Why should people behave a certain way to make others think more OF them. And does that really make them more respectful of me or just more comfortable around them so that i ease their fears?
its like asking for an opinion about work suits from your buddy that works at dominoes. You know he interacted with people in suits every now and then, but he can't afford them and only owns one..and it doesn't fit that well. So should I take his opinion as gold?

Dude, you're the Justin Timberlake of racism. Instead of bringing sexy back, you seem to be obsessed with bringing 1960 America back. You overplay everything, and you spin EVERYTHING in order to promote your false narrative about white racism in 2014.
Ferguson was/is a typical example. When the evidence started leaking out and favoring Darren Wilson, you were one of the people saying, "Let's wait until the GJ renders their verdict."
But, as soon as the GJ came back with no true bill, you immediately switched to, "Well, maybe we didn't have a racist cop this time, but we still have a huge problem.". You've said things like, "Hands up, don't shoot" is relevant because it's more than about Ferguson now.
The point is, SS, that no matter what happens, you always spin it in a manner that furthers your agenda of falsely painting America as being infested with white racists.
And that, SS, is as racist as anything that is being done on this board.

I've pointed out the dangers of implicit racial bias a lot more than I have this narrative of overt white racism. For example, the woman in some town in LA, stabbed people on bourbon the other day and was laughed at on the OT. I got called a racist for calling her A TPOS. I notice a way in which the OT criminalizes blacks and makes more excuses for white criminals, it's almost a form of Empathy.
Then I look at studies that show that whites view black children as young as 10 as 20 years and criminalize these kids, and I can't help but think that these racial biases, which doesn't make you racist, are not good for our country going forward.
I point to the past because some behaviors are seemingly familiar of the past. i also pressed the issue of disparities amongst different groups.
I can see how it can be frustrating being accused of such heinousness.however, far too many people excu

And I can see how I have a perceived racial bias. I know In my heart that I dont, but maybe I need to go about displaying that to the Board that they may have one. I think I can do that
