Consider the definition of the crime -- you almost always have to be a minority for the offense to be considered a hate crime, and crime between the same racial/ethnic groups is rarely considered a hate crime.

Even if your numbers show what you claim they show, hate crimes (i.e., anti-First Amendment punishment of evil thoughts) are designed to punish straight white people. The people who push hate crime legislation are the same people who claim it is categorically impossible for blacks to be racist against whites. So it stands to reason that it would be very difficult for a black person to commit a hate crime against a white person.
And a similar analysis can be applied re: gays. We cis-straights don't get special crosswalks and statues about our sexual preferences--why would we be able to punish people's thoughts about us?

Because they feel hated so they lash out. Everybody hates White People, so, some of them lash out.
Maybe if mass media would show White People lots of Love, Praise and Acceptance things would change. But I fear the hate for White People will only worsen.
