Why do we think Seth Rich was murdered by the Clintons/DNC?

I'm seriously asking. I haven't really kept up with the story, but the media hoopla last week about proof of emails between Rich and WikiLeaks seems to have all been completely made up. So what evidence is there that his murder was connected to the DNC or WikiLeaks?
By the way I truly believe that Bill Clinton had Vince Foster killed so we're all on the same team here.

Shot in the back twice during a robbery where nothing was taken after releasing emails to wiki and one of the emails shows Podesta saying they need to make an example of someone for leaks.

1. Is there proof that he released any emails to WikiLeaks?
2. There were signs of a struggle so it isn't really all that weird that the guy didn't take anything.

-If Rich leaked the emails Russia didn't hack them. At the least those 40k
-DNC hired third party to determine Russia was responsible, FBI wasn't given access to server
-Killed in robbery where he wasn't robbed
-Rich was Bernie supporter, DNC appears to have favored Clinton
-Publisher of leaks suggested Rich was source
-Family PI was given the run around by FBI and DCPD
-New family spokesman was literally a democratic crisis public relations specialist
Not saying it's definitely true or this is proof. Just the basic rundown of what leads to the theory

CNN vs Fox News. Who tf knows what's true anymore. Seems certainly suspicious and I would support an investigation, but this board is no stranger to wacko theories that get debunked with no accountability.

The other irony is the whole conspiracy requires the premise to be true that the DNC is not just functionally competent, but criminal masterminds.

I do believe anything is possible, including he was murdered for reason other than a robbery gone bad.
I also believe most news isn't news in present times, and I don't believe in coincidences. Consequently I remain pretty open to both the simple explanations, but also more complex explanations.
I've been mislead so often, or at least misleading has and is attempted frequently enough for me to remain open and very rarely accept what I'm force fed.
