Yes because Democrat-Lite was working so well before

It's the GOPe (moderate Republicans) who's specialty is "taking the high road" all the way to the podium where they give a great concession speech

You don’t follow politics much . They all cater to their base until general election time. A lot of Trump supporters didn’t vote before 2016 .

Because if we vote for the Constitution party candidate, the election is won by the Dems. In my state, you don't get elected if the MAGA crowd doesn't support you.

the rank and file maga are convinced that compromise is a sin against the "correct" bill.
there's a messianic aspect to getting their way.

so they rather lose than give an inch.

hence the tea party movement passed a house bill to address the aca Obama care but gop senators refused to even vote on it.

similarly although trump was for an infrastructure bill his congress never wrote one.

the only big bill was a tax cut which in part led to budget issues now facing the house.

Because the margins are small. MAGA people are loyal to MAGA so to ignore this fact means that you could get 35-40% of your voting base to stay home.

That is what Desantis will find. It isnt enough just to win the noimination.

Will the MAGA people come back out in November? Some but not all.

I mean GWB won 2 terms.

Then we had a DEM for 2 terms.

Then Trump won...1 term

You can't win them all. The country gets too tired of one party in power b/c we have a large moderate population. If your sample is the 2 elections following a 2-term "Democrat-lite", while ignoring the success GWB had, then you're arguing dishonestly.

Because they are the overwhelming majority.

Next question.

No one seriously thinks Trump got the most votes in history but Joe Biden got even more. Trump won and the whole world knows it.

I'm old enough to remember, pre-MAGA, when the GOP held about 55 Senate seats and about 250 House seats.

Yeah, those times really sucked.

Better question, why does anyone oppose making their country great. Why would anyone oppose secure borders, NATO paying their fair share, recognizing the Chinese threat and so on. Why are you against it.

If you say the party is full of fascist and racists - then you don't know ANY MAGA supporters. You just eat the MSM BS like strawberry jello.

The left has gone so far left, what is now considered a moderate republican is pretty damn far left. Todays left would call JFK literally Hitler for his policy positions. That’s why.
