As has been stated, his program to get out of debt is helpful.
But they shouldn't be making these -EV moves once they develop the proper habits of that program.
And if his program doesn't build good habits to allow people to progress in their financial lives, then it detracts from the one thing he does well. It becomes a grift to sell his shitty products/services to people and not a good program overall.

Perhaps housing in the us would be priced differently if everyone didn’t finance themselves into oblivion.

Good advice to get out of holes but bad advice at maximizing your wealth growth thereafter.

I have a lot of respect for the man and his program. He developed a needed product that helps people. I know several regular working people who have a multimillion dollar net worth by following his program. There is no need to hate on something that isn’t for you.

The problem is that Ramsay is pigheaded and criticizes anyone with opinions other than his. If someone wants to follow his methods, fine. I won't say a word. But he has no problem going after successful people who just didn't do things his way. You don't need to buy some program if you've got decent common sense. And if you don't, there are plenty of people who give good financial advice for free. Back in college, I got a friend of mine out of credit card debt. She owed nearly $16,000. I asked her how much money she could afford to send them a pay off that day. We called and got them to settle it for $2,700. And I did that for free. I guess Ramsay wouldn't have liked that method. Most companies will work with you and are usually better off than selling the debt to a collections agency.
