So Starkle, a room mate of JBE at West Point, bid on a $65 million coastal erosion contract the state was passing out.

He had no employees.

Why would he think he could get such a contract?

He looked to the example set by the Trump admin.

Worked for Whitefish.

Whitefish.

Whitewater had nothing to do with awarded contracts.

But you knew that. Nice try.

You are better than that, dont sink to their level of "whataboutism".

You are trying to engage shut off minds that are not capable of nuance or sentience.

Two wrongs are still wrongs.

What's the point of devoting your life to public service if you can't get an old school chum a $65,000,000 contract?

I wasn’t doing that. I used that as example that they followed. Happens all the time. Dem or GOP.

Getting hooked up.

That’s why I said don’t hate the player, hate the game.

The Trump admin was responsible for the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority giving the contract to Whitefish?

I read multiple articles, and there wasn't a single mention of anyone in the Trump administration being involved in the decision. The closest thing that the far left rags could come up with is that one cabinet member is from the same town as the company and that one of the company's primary investors was a Trump donor. That's a little flimsy.

It was a terrible contract, but there is no evidence that the Trump administration was involved in awarding it. The FBI has investigated the contract, and nothing has come from it. Since the leaders of the FBI dislike Trump so much, surely they would have mentioned something if there was dirt.

For the record, Whitefish scenario is very common in the caribbean.

Here in Trinidad we got funding from World Bank, IDB, USAid, UN, one of those entities to build a water filtration plant. A local, who had ties to the govt, and no experience whatsoever, got the bid for 400 million more than the next bidder. Then just turned around and flipped the contract to one of the other bidders, screwed them down further on price, and walked away with half a billion (bout 50million US). Unfortunately he screwed the other company down so much they went belly up and we still dont have the plant.

Most Americans would be physically ill if they saw how much of their money was being wasted on needless projects in 3rd world countries simply so someone can invent a need to produce a kickback.
