We have a fundamental, down to the basic building blocks level misunderstanding of what government is supposed to be. This lady in the tiktok can't grasp why a government agency is putting a project which honors a nation's 250th anniversary above other frivolous projects which all could (and should) be funded on their own dime.
Yes, this is the National Endowment for the Arts. That's THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, honey. Damn right a proper function of this body to, as you said, put SOME of the projects on hold or removed outright to celebrate the Founding of this country.

It’s their cash cow… when you hear 20M was spent on condoms in Gaza, you have to realize maybe 500K was spent on the purchase and distribution of said condoms. The other 45.5M was moved into shell companies and charities, which eventually funnel the money into consultant firms or non profit organizations run by the Democrat and Republican family members. It’s how they all become multimillionaires in just a few years of arriving in Washington

Sad but true, and it's the masses that I'm referencing here. But, maybe it's just too damn hard for them to even consider that the overwhelming percentage of their world view is wrong, and that they have been substantially programmed by a rather small group of liars who do benefit from the corruption.
