The California style restricted magazines were easily alterable to full capacity in the couple of cases I saw.

Because "assault" rifles are bad.....

If they were called "pig" rifles, ignorant people would have a different opinion!

A person ALWAYS make a conscience decision to aim and pull the trigger, period.

Because most 30rnd mags are produced and imported by foreign makers that do not pay DC lobbyists to represent their interests.

Domestically we have producers (Ruger,ect..) lobbying to get imports restricted/banned through the NRA and the GOP in the name of profits and payoff's.

Does 10 in the mag and one in the chamber count as 11? Can you define a firearm as part of the mag when the mag is locked in? Are you in violation of federal firearms now if the 10 round mags ban is passed? 10 is fine but 11 is 5-10, felon status and forfeiture of gun rights for life. NEXT

I suppose the only argument made for it is it could slow down violent offenders resulting in more time for law enforcement to kill or arrest them.
It appears the uvalde police's strategy was "wait until the shooter runs out of bullets", so It sorta makes sense in that context. It's a slightly harder to carry lots of ammo.
