By what margin did Putin win his last election?

I bet you have no idea.

Wow! A lot of Americans don't vote. Maybe that's a good thing.

He won with nearly 90% of the vote.

Unless your name is "Putin", of course.

With 90% of the vote, I'm guessing Putin got over 50% of Russian adults - without looking at the participation rate.

And that's what got your hackles up.

Simping for Putin are you? You may not want to be so obvious in the future.

I haven't voted for president since voting for Ross Perot. Since then I realize that the electoral college system just deletes any votes in a state that don't go to the winner of that state. So if the polls leading up to the election indicate a landslide in your state, it doesn't really matter who you vote for, if it's not with the majority, it gets thrown out.

The corporations nominate the president, not the People. The states elect the president, not the People.

Why would anyone, of any political persuasion, alter how vocal they are because of who won the most recent election? Did anyone on this board become less vocal after Biden won in 2020? Or when the PV in 2016? Of course, not. I frequently disagree with those on the left, but I am glad to live in a country in which political discourse need not depend on the party in power.

Eh, there is still the popular vote. Your vote would still be counted in that regard. Also, your vote really matters if you're in one of the 7 Swing States.

Bingo!
Dem's lament over federal agencies getting shuttered and workers losing jobs. They agree with cutting waste and trimming government bloat, but they hate "the way Trump is doing it", "it's so mean and cruel, shows no compassion"....

Estrogen fueled empathy describes them to a tee.

Meaningless. That doesn't elect the president.

You don't get Left/Net or DNC/HQ emails. They say Trump caused the higher egg prices but do not explain how. Just send them $5 to fight his evil policies causing everyone to suffer.

I know. But it's a talking point. It's huge that Trump got the popular vote. It's something that was used against him after the 2016 election.

To be fair, only one time since 1988 has a Republican presidential candidate gotten over 50% of the popular vote, 2004. It's not just a Trump problem.

It does look like change is coming, however, the Democrats seem to have lost the workers. If Trump can get us an economy that increases the workers to the point that their numbers overtake the non-workers, the Republicans will be hard to beat going forward.
