Whoever lives in the proposed District 2 needs to sue if passed

The new proposed Congressional District 2 that passed the Senate is unconstitutional. A strip going from NO to North BR. It’s obviously based on race. NO and North BR has nothing in common but race.
No more race based election districts!! The USSC said so!
Some local election districts for offices such as District Court Judges and Councilmen need to be sued on as well.

Exactly. I’m not sure how this is thought to be legal at all.

Wonder if a local jurisdiction has the testicular fortitude to tackle that before the next election cycle in 2027 in Louisiana without being called racist. Or will they wait until 2031 after the 2030 census.

They will scream racism no matter what. It’s expected and encouraged.

Everybody saw what happened in the Legislature when Black Reps came to terms with having NO Black, National Congressional Rep from Louisiana. They go rogue. Period. Zero impulse control, being conditioned over the last few decades of race based 'muh affirmative action'. Ignoring the Northeast States where there is ZERO Republican representation. Taking that 'blindfold' off that Justice Statue, with Justice becoming Race-based.
Republicans don't want to deal with that over one Congressional Seat. So they dropped that hot potato.

Yes, I believe that. But all it takes is one voter in that district to sue and then the Republicans can blame it on that voter. Maybe that is the plan?

What if it was based on party registration instead of race?

Listening to Royce White on RAV now, he's THE best and most eloquent, brave Republican Christian Nationalist out there. I could just imagine him being behind a Lawsuit down here. It would look like the 'Smitty's' explosion in Roseland.

If you think Congressional maps are bad, some local council districts are stretched at thin as a single precinct to isolate enough minority voters into a district.
Some jurisdictions should make fewer council seats and add some at large districts to spread out the vote over a larger area eliminating minority districts.

The blacks are trying to say the same thing about the redrawing. Republicans are mostly white so they say it’s race based for all the OTHER districts but not theirs. It’s hilarious.

And the sad and tragic thing is that these Black Districts end up with murderers walking and killing in the streets and the schools going to hell thanks to muh Black 'Leaders' and 'compassionate' Judges. Just like the latest atrocity in Mall of Louisiana. Like Black folk are expected to live by lower standards, the epitome of true Racism. Which then results in more race-based 'Flight' and further collapse. Think St. George. Damn frustrating for honest people.
