Never was nominated by his party.

I should have been clearer in my title and included Party Nominee for Pres.

Hillary was a pretty bad candidate that also ran a terrible campaign.

I'd probably say Mondale was worse though.

Michael Dukakis. He lost pretty lopsided against George HW Bush but he did manage to win a few states in the Northeast.

Hillary. Literally the only candidate that Trump was capable of beating.

I don't. He would not have been able to use the Rust Belt strategy.

Epic Democratic primary.

SJW Dream Team

Who would have won? I think Dukakis takes it...he would be seen as moderate by today's left...even by Willie Horton.

I don't believe that Sanders Socialist views would resonate with the Rust Belt folks nor would the far left ideas and groups he supports.

Mondale was the original chucklefrick, just a massive dork with no aura of authority whatsoever He just had absolutely no chance against Reagan's commanding big swinging dick persona.

Mondale was completely sunk in his second debate against Reagan, when the moderator brought up Reagan's advancing age.

In the second debate Reagan was grilled over his age by Henry "Hank" Trewhitt of the Baltimore Sun.
"You already are the oldest President in history, and some of your staff say you were tired after your most recent encounter with Mr. Mondale.
I recall, yes, that President Kennedy, who had to go for days on end with very little sleep during the Cuba missile crisis.
Is there any doubt in your mind that you would be able to function in such circumstances?"

Reagan replied, "Not at all, Mr. Trewhitt and I want you to know that also I will not make age an issue of this campaign.
I am not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience."

Trewhitt responded, "Mr. President, I'd like to head for the fence and try to catch that one before it goes over."

He may not have gotten Ohio, but I feel very confident he would have gotten Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania if he had run. Plus people were enthusiastic to vote for Bernie, no one was for Hillary.

I take it you don't follow and read much on American History.

You can take whatever you want.

But this last election proved me right.

And I've followed the last 12, and voted in the last 9.

Trump was unbelievably bad, the man had absolutely nothing to say but insults and platitudes - but mostly insults. The only possible person who could've been worse would have had to be the one to lose to him - and she did.

Gus Hall - Communist Party USA

Ran four times and never received more than 0.07% of the vote.
quote:

In the 1964 presidential election, Hall's party supported Lyndon B. Johnson, saying it was necessary to prevent the victory of the conservative Barry Goldwater.[23] During the 1972 presidential election, the CPUSA withdrew its support from the Democratic party and nominated Hall as its candidate.[24] Hall ran for president four times—in 1972, 1976, 1980, and 1984—the last two times with Angela Davis.

Obama

Are you fricking retarded? Obama was one of the most formidable presidential candidates in history. He was young, charismatic, black (but not too black), and a phenomenal speaker. A war hero and an extremely successful business man/Governor were steamrolled by him

Romney. Could have easily beaten Obama, but he handed the ball off to the other team while leading the game with 2 minutes left.
