K.

The data I posted is accurate. Bring back Dubya for a third term.

I’ve said no such thing. Our inflation is due to:

Trump’s idiotic Covid policies which killed supply chain, jobs, and economy and his reckless spending for his whole term which was high even before Covid was a thing. Biden then came in and continued the reckless spending and added fuel to the fire with idiotic policies as well. They are BOTH culpable and re-electing Trump won’t ‘fix’ any of it because he’s going to spend at or more than Biden is. Spending is a big part of it but not the whole story. We all remember what a disaster 2020 was and that falls on Trump you can’t blame Biden for that.

I think we are getting close to the point where I don't know if it is fixable.

It's possible. Reagan turned things around when he took over from Carter.

You’re correct it is possible, but it takes balls. Politicians aren’t willing to do what needs to be done to fix issues.

You need to make it hurt to fix the problem. Interest rates should have went to 10%. You need to suppress the spending behavior by consumers and the federal government simultaneously.

So, your question is will Trump be responsible for DEflation? When was the last time we had deflation?

I love how people continue to spread the notion that “deflation” is the stabilization and lowering of overall prices. That isn’t remotely true and is a Wikipedia understanding of economics. Deflation is extremely rare and the US is in absolutely no danger of ever experiencing deflation under its monetary policies. The US could use a period of deflation to be honest. The amount of US currency in circulation at home and abroad would make deflation a near statistical impossibility unless we burned giant piles of trillions of dollars. Trying to compare US monetary policy with Japan 30 years ago or the Great Depression is silly

Conservatives only can keep inflation low/. They can't roll it back.

Only because Trump will spend spend spend like he did the first time. There will still be high cost of goods and services. It’s not going away.

They won’t be cheaper but prices should stabilize instead of constantly increasing.

I think inflation under Trump won’t get as high as quickly as it did and would get under the leadership of Biden or any Democrat candidate for that matter

I bet it will be relatively cheaper when he leaves office than when he started.

There are cost of living indices that should tell a good story.
