"Viva la Treen!" was one of his old campaign slogans. The old military guys used to get a chuckle from this.

I go back to the race between John McKeithen and Chep Morrison. John's slogan in ads was 'Won't you hep me?'
Chep's slogan was 'It's up to you.'

Chep's sounded like an answer to John's:

John: 'This steak is too tough for me to cut. Won't you hep me?'
Chep: 'Nope, it's up to you.'

The recent ones have been Feces, especially the last couple. I would have to agree, George Wallace has been the best that I remember.

Illinois was better when the Mob ran it. They stole less than the politicians.

Foster didn't do much other than introduce us to his wonderkid, Jindal.

Westlake Group had spent a billion in Lake Chuck area and then purchased 3 chemical plants, dismantled them and moved them to the Lake Chuck area. Owner flies in from Taiwan and wants to meet the governor so it was set up. Foster comes out of his office in a golf shirt then says something like, "Hello, thank you for stopping buy" shook hands the turned and went into his office leaving them standing there.

The three plants ended up being scrapped and Westlake purchased and built new in Paducah, KY instead.

Foster was not bad but he didn't do a whole lot and obviously not that pro business.

Matt Bevin. Actually attempted to reform Medicaid in the state by requiring work/education/volunteer requirements along with requiring minimum, $1-$15, monthly premiums for the expanded Medicaid population. He also tried to actually solve the unfunded public pension crisis in Kentucky but he said mean things about teachers in a state with one of the worst education systems in the country so of course he couldn't be re-elected.

There was a documentary about Wallace about 20 years ago I think call “ Setting the Woods on Fire”. Wallace was basically like Trump. If someone pushed him he punched back and was awesome dealing with hecklers.
