I wonder where the Democratic Socialists stand on birthright citizenship?
From Google AI........,
Boy, that ^^^ was a shocking revelation.
How about those Republicans/conservatives, where do they stand on birthright citizenship?
I can guarantee the 35-40% of Recucks who want to retain the current definition/interpretation of birthright citizenship are the Bush, Romney, McCain, Thune, Tillis, McConnell, John Roberts, Amy Coney Barrett etc. brand of conservatives frequently referred to as "Country Club Recucks"
From Google AI........,
quote:
Between 79% and 90% of Democrats support birthright citizenship, crossing party lines to maintain the constitutional principle that grants citizenship to anyone born in the United States, regardless of their parents' immigration status.
Survey data details the specific breakdowns:79% to 88% of Democrats support the current birthright provision in the U.S. Constitution.Up to 90% of Democrats oppose government actions (like executive orders) that seek to end birthright citizenship.

quote:
AI Overview Between 36% and 40% of Republicans support maintaining birthright citizenship, according to recent nationwide polling. Republican opinions are highly nuanced, as support often depends on the specific legal status of the parents involved.
Key survey findings on Republican attitudes include:General Support: About 36% of Republicans favor keeping birthright citizenship as it currently stands, while roughly 62% support ending the practice.Parental Legal Status:
Support among Republicans fluctuates based on how a question is framed. While a minority favor granting citizenship to the children of undocumented immigrants, GOP support increases significantly to roughly 45% for the children of temporary visa holders.Demographic Differences: Support is highest among younger Republicans and Hispanic Republicans, with the latter group seeing a majority in favor of the policy.

How was the question phrased? Do these people even know what it means?

I
I don't know how the original polling was conducted.
I simply asked Google AI what percentage of Democratic Socialists and weak kneed Recucks support the current interpretation of birthright citizenship.

Did you look at the sources used by the AI? Do they have bias? Are you going to do any further research and critical thinking to come to a nuanced, studied conclusion?
This is the real threat of AI manifest. "I'm going to ask a machine something and not think for myself."

Google AI is somewhat left leaning with its database search algorithm. My guess on this birthright citizenship query is Google is accurately reporting with percentages where support for birthright citizenship lies by political affiliation.
Take real world examples of the Americans who rabidly support illegal immigration and it's without question the Cultural Marxists/Democratic Socialists. You don't see America First/MAGA types protesting and rioting in the streets to keep illegal immigrants in the US. My assumption would be the same Americans who are willing to die to keep illegal immigrants in the US are the same people who would crack a poll at 90% to keep the current birthright citizenship scam.
