They will not be allowed to hold the rally, and some 'authority' will come up with a PC, BS reason why, such as 'public safety' or 'it's not representative of the values of our university.' It will be reminiscent of the cancelled appearances by Ann Coulter and Milo.

That's not likely.
A large counter-protest ( LINK ]Maroon Wall) has already formed and is being supported by thousands.

quote:

White Nationalists have announced that they will be holding a protest at Rudder Plaza against the "anti-white liberal agenda" here at Texas A&M.

This tone-deaf rally is positively contrary to our values as a campus and serves only to harass our fellow Aggies of colour. As such it is imperative that we take action and display pride in our diverse campus and community.

In 2012, Westboro Baptist Church attempted to picket the funeral of a fallen soldier (LINK and the Aggie Family joined together to protect his funeral by forming a maroon wall. Today, the threat to our campus comes from a different group of fanatics, and we must respond united.

As such, Saw 'Em Off is proud to announce a revival of the Maroon Wall! The protest is schedule to take place on September 11 at Rudder Plaza by the MSC. We will be making a silent, outward facing wall around the plaza to protect our students and show that the Aggie Family's commitment to its own is far greater than any force trying to divide us.

that's important, as well as whether or not they instigate violence

there have been examples of non-violent "counter protests" (Auburn)

however, when violence is involved, i don't think there are examlpes where it has been instigated by the groups on the right

Regarding the "instigation of violence," the Maroon Wall organizer has said the following:
quote:

The purpose of the wall is to be silent. We will not be blasting music, 1. because that's illegal, 2. because that's antagonistic. We aren't here to stop people from speaking, we are just a fence separating a legal event from a public that doesn't need to see it or hear it

quote:

As we have reiterated time and again, this is a peaceful demonstration, any group that does not abide in this is as unwelcome as the rally itself. We are going to start signalling that more clearly!

the only incident in question is VA

every other one has involved violence-instigation by ANTIFA (or similar groups)

yeah and everyone agrees that's terrible. it's still one incident of violence of thousands. it's the worst, but not the only one worth discussing.

good

however, they're going to have to regulate all the ANTIFA loons who show up or else that's all lost

the extremists (on both sides) know how to show up to lawful situations and hijack it for their own PR/attention desires

Agreed.
But I have confidence in these kids.
Their presence is symbolic, and that's probably the most anyone can ask for at this point.

Auburn's liberal organizations did a good job of keeping the violent leftist extremists in check, so it is possible

I would assume Texas' police officers will do a better job of keeping those without permits from interrupting.

With aTm being a mostly "conservative" campus, I don't see leadership there allowing the extremists from either side to have their way and allowing violence.

That pattern of allowing violence follows Dem leaders (minus Holden).

Which is a GREAT way to handle it. IF it happens like this they deserve props.

You don't handle it like those morons from Antifa, BLM, etc did in Virginia last weekend and have done at countless other demonstrations.

NAZI aholes have a right to protest and bitch and moan all they want. As long at they don't get violent. Same applies to BLM, Antifa, etc. Show up and protest all you want, but you can't go assaulting people and burning shite.

Why is EVERY OTHER GROUP allowed to have rallies like this? Do white people not have concerns?

I was told when I went to rallies (here) ....
* That I lost, get over it
* protesting was pointless
* I didn't have a constitutional right to protest
* protesters should be shot/run over

I assume the feeling is the same about these protests.

I am 100% for white nationalist rallies. You can figure out who is a nazi frick real easy then.

Absolutely not true

* protesters should be shot/run over

Assuming they are protesting in the middle of the street while people are trying to drive, also true.
