Don't you think that could apply to those seeking to oust the duly elected president of the United States?

It could. The transcript of the call provides context that makes it extremely unlikely though.

It's inconsequential because it came a month after the Trump admin was made aware of the allegation

Unless your argument is that Trump explicitly said no quid pro quo and Rudy G/US officials ignored Trump?

It would be reasonable for him not to want to be drawn into the style of politics we play in the U.S. I suspect the quote was just ambiguous enough that he can claim he was talking in general and not specific to a party or individual.

Have you called your local Representative with this suggested interpretation? All of these interpretations, in fact? You're no more or less qualified as anyone else to speculate as to what another human may or may not have in their minds, even Adam Schiff. I don't see why it couldn't be you in that chamber testifying. Seal this case air tight.

And, sadly, that's all it boils down to in bmy's mind. And he's OK with it. Seriously OK with it.

What speculation? I am dealing in facts. FWIW Trump will not be removed and will be reelected.

It's very clear that there was a quid pro quo and that part of it involved a Ukraine led investigation into Biden in exchange for a call and/or a white house visit for Zelensky. It may have included military support as well.

I'll make the same prediction I did for Mueller.. impeached but not removed.

You are dealing with what you want the facts to be. Not what they actually are.

And you and your ilk are ok, if not gleeful, with putting the country through it simply to score political points. Amazing. Simply amazing.

Only one problem. What do you do if the White House doesn't cooperate with your little charade?

That speculation.

Unless of course the quid pro quo you are talking about is "you can have your aid in exchange for assurances that you're doing your job to root out potential corruption". In that case, my apologies.

And of course Trump wouldn't be removed for that. That what we'd all expect of Ukraine in order to receive the treasure of our country....hopefully.

...

President Zelenskyy:
We are ready to continue to cooperate for the next steps specifically we are almost. ready to buy more Javelins from the United States for defense purposes.

President Trump responds:
"I would like you to do us a favor, though [he asks for two things]... would like you to find out about this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike... The other thing... Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it, it sounds horrible to me."

Again, speculation. Compare that to what Biden said and you will see what QPQ is.

= Assurance that you will look into potential corruption.

You have a problem with that? Or should anyone else? Unless of course there's some sort of evidence that Trump intended his words to mean "find me dirt." Could you provide evidence of his words meaning that instead of the other?

Besides speculation that it's what Trump meant, of course.

Do you understand what presumption of innocence is? And burden of proof being on the accuser?
