I could make a very strong argument about how mainstream culture perpetuates and glorifies violence, racism, sexism, drug use and thug culture more than hip hop.

He was a young man in very angry times. Blacks were treated like dogs then, of course he would be angry and vent that rage.

The illegitimate birth rate amongst blacks didn't start to skyrocket until AFTER Jim Crow, and over 100 years after slavery.

America has and is purposely putting blacks at a disadvantage since we stepped foot in this country. America has gone out its way to disenfranchise blacks but you have KCT wondering blacks can't get ahead.

Not taking sides...but the statement is also becoming true in white culture. To pin that on black culture MIGHT have been true at one point, but let's face it.....if we don't point fingers at ourselves we are being intellectually dishonest.
