Billy Graham led a life that should be held up and celebrated. I'm thankful that I live in a place where I can see and know people with the character and quality similar to Billy Graham's.

Damn I triggered you early this morning. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the gains this year and hope it continues. How you saw this as an attack on the administration I voted for is beyond me. I just said I’d rather see stock market news on a news channel than some dead guy’s funeral. Keep that shite on TBN.

The news event was his passing. I completely understand reporting on that.

The funeral isn’t (shouldn’t be) a news event. Just my opinion.

The stock market is still here, the Reverend Billy Graham is not, the stock market is an inanimate financial casino, the Reverend Billy Graham was a loyal servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and he did more for the true good of mankind than the stock market ever will. The Reverend Graham's reward is with the creator in heaven.

Naah.... we shouldn't be celebrating the lives of people who devoted them to spreading superstition.

This world needs SCIENCE and EDUCATION, not sheepish conformity to fears and fantasies.

You challenged me yesterday to give you examples of Graham’s accomplishments that didn’t involve religion.
I did that.
I’m not sure why you’re continuing this attempt to minimize his life.

Yes, thank you for the list. I'm happy he managed to do some good... even if there was always a religion motivation behind it.

Graham died over a week ago. Plenty of respects have been paid to him already. He lived a long and fruitful life. Time to move on.

If you're claiming to be a product of science and education this country/world is literally doomed.

I can understand your view; I mentioned it in my response.
It’s hard (impossible?) to separate a person’s moral fiber from their actions.
But I’d bet that the thousands of people who’ve benefitted from the emergency assistance (and countless other good works) he provided didn’t necessarily care about his motives—whatever those were; they likely were just grateful that someone cared.

Dear Lord,
Watch over Rex as he wanders through his life. Although he is blind, help him to see the Light. Although he is deaf, help him to hear the Truth. Although he is lost, help him to find the Way.

Help us to show him Jesus' love and God's grace so that we can bear witness. We all sin and fall short. Thank you for the forgiveness you provide to Rex and to me.

In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

The world is a little dimmer with his passing. After the loss of Graham, Jim Henson, and Fred Rogers, it is as if all the genuinely good people who just wanted the best for everyone in my youth have passed on.

Rest in peace, Billy.

alot of people really dont give a shite about religion. BG has been out of the public eye for 20 years now. He will have thousands at his funeral and memorial and both Cnn and msnbc have run long memorials for BG.

you are a Trumpkin making a mole hill out of nothing jsut because its on Fox. did you know we now get some of national policies from the teleprompter scribes at Fox and Friends.

Billy Graham's funeral doesn't deserve front page news

Well, at least it will be attended by people who really cared about him.

Your funeral will be attended by people who want to make absolutely sure you’re really dead.

That's a really nice thing to say in a Billy Graham thread.
