China starts using Yuan to buy NG

Announced minutes ago, Yuan replaces USD as most traded currency in Russia.

US Dollar used in 59% of world’s reserves, down from 72%

Saudi Arabia enters trade alliance with China, Russia, India, Pakistan, and four Central Asian nations to step further away from reliance on the US dollar.

But y’all keep your focus on Trump

China’s economy is a house of cards.

If the USD takes a hit, we may hurt a bit but they get wiped out between their USD holdings and their trade with us.

Nope.

Do you actually think that they will care about that?

And I don't believe that will hurt them at all.

So your not worried about a group of nations coming together to ditch the house of cards backed USD for a currency backed by gold?

And Mexico has annouced that they are in majors talks in joining Brics.

Eurasia Media reports:

quote:

Mexico has expressed its interest in joining the BRICS group of emerging economies, which currently consists of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The Mexican Foreign Minister, Marcelo Ebrard, said that Mexico shares the vision and values of the BRICS and hopes to deepen its cooperation with them in various fields, especially in medicine and trade.

India doing so scares me.

South Africa is an economic basket case.

Russia and China have a lot of other issues going on including demographics.

That is a myth.

And that will get handled. It's not like we have not dealt with poor nations over the years using the USD.

Which countries are looking good "demographics-wise" at this juncture?

This has been a weird topic. For those that hate the 'Deep State' and the 'neocons', this should be great news. The only way this gets better if we eliminate the IRS and the federal reserve.

In Russia’s case, losing tons of men in Ukraine when they are far below replacement rate isn’t a good thing.

The Russian meat grinder isn’t what it used to be.

China? They have a huge population of single males with no chance of getting married and having kids. That is a problem waiting to happen on several levels between their ability to control them and their ability to raise future generations.

We’re not in a great position demographically but we aren’t currently bleeding soldiers or having a lack of reproduction-age couples.

Who would want the reduction of the USA at any cost? Eliminating the IRS and Federal reserve does not have to mean taking a back seat to communist nations.

Ehhh, it may not be in the same fashion as those two places (China and Russia), but I might quibble with this generalized statement with regard to the US at this point in time and, even more so moving forward, if we don't look to change course soon.

They are walking a tightrope.
Who's currency are they planning to use to by food for the 30+ percent of their population that retire in the next decade?

Have you actually looked at the future of America demographic wise?

Birth rates crashing. Down over 20% since 1990.

You can't have this both ways. In order for us to maintain the reserve currency of the world, means that we have to keep the empire in check using our military. That means we stay in a constant conflict like we have since WWII.

It is past time that there was a new reserve currency. We will have to adjust to that just like Portugal did, the Netherlands did, Spain did, and Britain did. The good news is that we still have the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans to keep us insulated from the barbarian hoards unlike Rome.

That won't be good for any of those countries. China will manipulate and leverage everything to their advantage and none of those participating countries will be able to do anything about it. Peter Zheihan has a great video on coming de-globalization.
