That "base" has been in Cuba since 2019 or before. Intel community has known of its existence at least since then. Unless the Chinese navy is prepared to make Havana a POC, this info is to make ink companies money some money. Probably reusing some old Russian facility.

Quote? The only thing I've seen is an anonymous person say that DeSantis said the tariffs "were not effective." Which is a debatable point. I used to be 100% free trade but have changed that stance over the years and supported the tariffs but DeSantis did not say what you say he said. If he did give me an actual quote.
ETA: I just watched the 2018 interview in which he said he isn't a tariff advocate he said his goal is is reduce barriers for American exports. AKA actual free trade, which is what Trump stated was the goal for his tariffs. Oh no, so establishment.
