I don't even think the real world is that divided. It's social media and online discourse... all toxic and unhinged.
The internet. Greatest gift and most horrible affliction. Even here, there is more division than IRL. Every single person, outside of one or two on the SEC Rant, would be much more civil in person. What we see on TV is a small minority shot in a way to make them look more numerous. Minneapolis is a city of of just over 3 million. The total count of protestors is most likely under 10,000. That is a small percentage and it is beefed up with professional protestors.

Dude you think I care one iota about being respected here? Most posters are either really dumb or just crazy. I sleep just fine at night without their “respect”
Yet you lamented when you made this post...

Ironic as it was. You were disparaging others for somehow disparaging you.
Maybe you are a serious poster and self-reflection is needed. Maybe you really are not a serious poster and just like to troll.

quote:The Presidency is not what JFK wanted. He had no intentions of being President. His father, Joseph Kennedy, wanted his eldest son, Joseph Jr. to be President. He was groomed for the job but was killed in WWII. That's when the grooming shifted to JFK. Joseph Kennedy, the fifth richest man made a fortune as a bootlegger. He, along with the help of the Mafia, bought the Presidency for Kennedy, who subsequently made the fatal mistake of believing he was in charge.
I would really be interested in hearing your explanation as to how these 3 were able to "break the mold."
I didn't respond because I "know" you. The truth won't matter to you. But, what the hey? Here goes:
1) JFK - JFK was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He could've easily had an extremely comfortable life, but that's not what he wanted. His Dad, a bit of an elitist hooligan, arranged for John to have a cushy desk job so that he could stay safe during WWII. But, John rebelled against that and forced the powers-that-be to make him a commander of a PT Boat. Kennedy ended up being seriously injured and his physical problems stayed with him for the rest of his life.
Fast-forward to JFK's presidency, and he conducted himself the same way. JFK discovered that the CIA was completely out-of-control and he fired longtime CIA Director Allan Dulles (the same Allen Dulles that the total POS Lyndon Johnson appointed to the sham Warren Commission? Did you ever wonder why LBJ didn't want an independent panel to investigate JFK's death?).
JFK also resisted the MIC's zealous urgings to ramp up a war in Southeast Asia. Finally, and I don't know as much about this, Kennedy had some issues with the Federal Reserve.
JFK was absolutely conducting his Presidency outside the realm of the corrupt Political Establishment. Do you actually believe that Lee Harvey Oswald was the mastermind behind JFK's assassination?
The total POS LBJ suppressed the investigation of Kennedy's death, and he also used the false flag of the Gulf of Tonkin incident to ramp up a needless "war" in SE Asia.
That's enough for now. You should already understand that Trump is an outsider. He was a businessman who never even ran for dog catcher, and then he runs for the highest office in the land. This plus all the things I listed in the OP that the corrupt Political Establishment has tried to do to him should give any reasonable, semi-objective person the ability to see that Trump was and is a political outsider, and hence the reason why they've tried to destroy him for the past decade
I await your brief dismissal of everything I just said.
![]()
As far as Trump is concerned, his decade-long friendship with CIA asset and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, as well as decade(s) long friendship with the Deep State entrenched Clintons alone tells you all you need to know about your claim of an "outsider."
No, it isn't possible to "break the mold" as you claim. The game has long since been safeguarded against such action (unfortunately).
Even Trump himself admitted that Presidential "elections" have been rigged for a long time.
He should know.

Hopefully when the democrats take back power, which hopefully will come soon, they will have learned those lessons, which I am sure they have
They refused to publish their 2024 election autopsy because they are going further to the left.
For gods sake, y’all just elected a fricking Muslim Socialist to mayor of NY.

I used to be prolific on here.
I took a long break from here and elsewhere for personal betterment, which had been positive.
So I’m not some extremist either way.
But to think of the best response to the OP,
I am disturbed by the thought of it. Because our society has been so twisted as it is.
Don’t agree with everything he does, but Thank God for Donald Trump.

What would these TDS frickers infesting this board do with their time?
They would be whining and hand wringing just as much, but about something else.

I would look up the word “lament” if I were you. What I posted was simply a statement of fact of how many posters “debate” on here. It’s on you if you interpreted that post through an emotional lens.

A third case in point. A rather innocuous statement of fact is met with calls for self-reflection. Many posters here don’t have the IQ to rationally debate. Maybe you have the IQ to do so, but it appears you lack the temperament.

That's a bizarre comment for somebody who has 60K posts.
For the record, I had you figured out a long time ago. You're basically a one-trick pony. You come on here with your little passive-aggressive "white savior" complex, with the express intent of insulting a majority of the board, but as soon as somebody calls you out on your shtick you retreat to a corner and start playing the victim role.
Not very impressive, I must say.

This is how weak- minded you are (or maybe just dishonest). You asked me to tell you why Kennedy was not a typical Political Establishment hack. I laid out the FACTS that he had tried to reign in the out-of-control intelligence agencies, he had resisted the MIC's desire to ramp up a huge war in SE Asia, and he even had plans to go after the Federal Reserve.
And, what was your response? "JFK wasn't even the son that his Dad wanted to be in politics." Dude, what an utterly vapid response. What did that have to do with how JFK ACTUALLY PERFORMED as President?
I don't know if you're willingly blind or simply clueless, but that's your problem.

Me, too. But of course, the people who are blind to what Trump is up against simply don't have a clue.
PS - Congratulations on taking a long break. I've considered doing that because this place brings out the WORST in me. It really gets old trying to make blind people see that America's #1 problem for over 7 decades has been our very own corrupt Political system.
