It’s actually just simple cost-benefit analysis. Which bears the highest cost with less benefit, the media apocalypse of firing Fauci paralyzing the remainder of Trump’s Presidency thereby rendering him persona non grata through end of term……or…….keeping him on but at arm’s length and managing it as best possible thus avoiding the first thing??
It seems much more logical that he played ball with the "deep state" because that's what he was put in office to do in the first place.

It’s ok, but we’re just speaking a completely different language. I don’t consider most of everything in light of the deep state. Our perception of the deep state and what it entails and what influence it might have are probably not in the same ballpark. I’m sure nearly everybody has their own twist on that concept in their own mind.
