Colorado was a pretty significant disappointment IMO. All of Trumps victories elsewhere made it irrelevant, but I thought it would have been closer given his "hidden" support elsewhere.
New Mexico, and Nevada to a lesser extent, were also "swing" states where Trump actually underperformed his polling.

The successful people in these areas make up maybe 1% of the vote in their district. I used to live in LA and the wealthy individuals there were republicans to the core. It's the very poor people from places like Compton why LA goes blue. The successful people that work their asses off don't want to give money to dindus anymore than people from Oklahoma.
