Should we expect a national meltdown again or will the media stay their hand after they reaped some of what they had sewn with the CNN offices being ransacked?

It's a dog and pony show.

Overcharge so they walk (which is what the DA really wants), then blame the deplorables on the jury.

I can see Chauvin being found guilty of manslaughter but I don't think the other cops can be successfully tried for manslaughter or murder.

I’m not a lawyer, but IIRC, someone claiming to be an attorney on here said that when AG Keith “I love ANTIFA” Ellison upgraded the charges that intent of Chauvin must now be included.

Is there any truth to this?

Lastly, when is the decision expected to be handed down?

Hopefully if this happens it will be in late December to February cuz only the dedicated idiots will go out at that time of year in Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, New York, etc.

He was overcharged. To me it looks like negligent homicide or the Minnesota equivalent. Chauvin, like most people, figured if the guy could talk then he could breathe.

And that’s not even considering how the cops are trained or the exact cause of death etc.

Despite the fact that George Floyd was a scumbag, I don’t see a lot of people around here defending what Derek Chauvin did.

They could both be pieces of shite, you know. It’s not a mutually exclusive thing.

I’ll wish 9mm ammo wasn’t so expensive and hard to find

well it could be viewed that continuing for several minutes to asphyxiate someone in your custody after they stop breathing and lost consciousness as a malicious intent.

also no intent is needed for the upgraded charges if the homicide occurred while engaged in another crime like police brutality.

.45 ACP here.

I’m at least finding it a tad easier to find 7.62x39 now. Especially if I’m willing to settle for steel jackets.

There will be a meltdown if that happens, yes.

That being said, Chauvin isn't a good guy either - as someone pointed out above, just because Floyd is bad doesn't make Chauvin any good.

I can only imagine the virtue signalling that will come from the Vikings and Timber Wolves. They'll kneel extra hard.

Did he really do anything is the question that will be debated in the trial?

Total POS Keith Ellison will probably do everything he can to get an acquittal verdict about 2-3 weeks before the election, but I don't think he can work that out.

The entire bodycam video basically exonerates the officers. Even Jason Whitlock says that.

I accidentally bought a bunch of steel jacket 9mm a while back and was a little pissed. But my Canik 9mm had no problems with it whatsoever.

Would love to have an AR but at these prices my wife would kill me. Probably with a steel jacket round.

did you watch the body cam footage? It completely exonerates them, and you can clearly see the knee on the head is doing nothing to obstruct air or blood flow. In an actual trial, those guys are all walking free

Its a tricky situation. Floyd resisted arrest and was high on drugs. My biggest issue is the guy stayed on him for 10 minutes with everyone telling him he was unresponsive. That police department trains that move so he could get off. But 10 minutes...... could go either way. The other cops should not get jail time in my opinion.
