America needs to cut seriously its consumption of wheat. Many suffer from gluten intolerance and celiac disease, and for those who don't, limiting intake of bread, pasta, wheat-based cereals, pancakes, pastries and other wheaty offenders will certainly limit the epidemic of fatness which has become the scourge of the USA in the present millennium.

The wife and I don't consume much wheat at all. From your list we NEVER eat cereal, pancakes, pastries. She eats 2 hamburgers per week on whole wheat bread. Our only regular wheat product is pasta. We both eat that twice a week.

For those who don’t eat wheat or carbs remember your food (cows, pigs, chickens) do eat grain.

That's why you shouldn't eat carbs. More crops go to the cows, pigs and chickens and lowers our meat prices.

As does California. California used to be the second biggest grower of rice behind Arkansas but Arkansas grew more than California,Louisiana and Missouri combined. Not sure now.
