but conservatives don't want that to happen because they would always vote for liberals.
That’s actually not why the argument is that it remains a district. The reason is from the founders.
The same founders that the left keep talking about during this waste of time they have been involved in. They just don’t care what they have to say when it is against their wants.

without big government
What has big government ever invented that made our lives easier?
The free market gave us electricity, the automobile, and the internets.

Cali is the nations breadbasket.
Not really, but rather our nation's domestic provider of fruits and vegetables during the winter growing season.
That said, if there are any counties within the borders of a current state that are having the rights of their residents trodden upon by their respective state governments, more so that any other state, it would be the eastern rural counties of California, Oregon, and Washington.
The next civil war in this country will be intrastate.

The problem with this is that the conservatives states would end up protecting the liberal states to keep us from accidentally being attacked. I think it would still be better then what we have now. The people in the liberal US would be coming back to the conservative side when they run out of money. Everyone who is willing to work would be in conservative USA.

California gets 65% of the water for its agricultural production from out of state
Irrelevant. The water they get is from liberal states. The west is going w the libtards.

We can damn and divert up in Minny, wis and Illinois.
Good luck.

uhhhh. no. The combination of the Midwest and South far eclipse California’s production. And we can probably do without lettuce that gives you the violent shits.
Midwest goes w libs.
And, Cali is still the breadbasket.

California is not the nation's breadbasket. California is nearly entirely dependent on water importation.
If cali secedes, we could literally starve them to death if we wished. Some breadbasket.
You are the dumbest person on this site. And that is a hell of a feat.

Article 4, section 3 of the Federal Constitution provides that "no new state shall be formed or erected within the jurisdiction of any other state; nor any state be formed by the junction of two or more states, or parts of states, without the consent of the legislature of the states concerned, as well as of the congress."

C California leads all of the other states in farm income.
California grows over 200 different crops, some grown nowhere else in the nation. Crops include grapes, almonds, strawberries, oranges and walnuts.
California produces almost all of the country's almonds, apricots, dates, figs, kiwi fruit, nectarines, olives, pistachios, prunes, and walnuts. It leads in the production of avocados, grapes, lemons, melons, peaches, plums, and strawberries. Only Florida produces more oranges.
Same for lettuce and tomatoes.
Only Texas grows more cotton.
Only Texas produces more livestock products.
Water: west coast goes w libs. Water isn’t an issue.

And you downplayed CA's crtical dependency on water importation from OTHER STATES.
Can't grow those figs and avocados that NO ONE CARES ABOUT without....um... WATER.
frick yes we can starve cali. Can you starve texas? The south? The midwest? Nope.
Cali? YES...EASILY. some breadbasket. Avocadoes and figs, holy hell I am still laughing.
How about LIVESTOCK-- Texas, the South, and the Midwest combine for exponentially more livestock than cali-- way to get cute by only comparing Texas (which ALONE exceeds cali livestock heads).
Own your idiocy.
