but not Rispone. Like I’ve said I just don’t think he really understands how to work a government

I keep asking you what is your source that you are basing this assumption on?

Rispone has built & operated a success bidness directly & indirectly dumping $$ into pockets of Louisiana citizens.

JBE hasn’t ever created a damn thing useful to La citizens.

The choice is simple.

The naivete is rampant on this thread. To think that Rispone is going to come in and have a constitutional convention and undo much of the protected areas is just plain silly. I can see the legislators, Republicans and Democrats alike, lining up to protect their turf. Many of you are too young to remember Buddy Roemer. Rispone reminds me of an older Buddy Roemer. Roemer campaigned on making drastic changes to state government. When all was said and done, he did squat, and served only one term.

225Tyga, instantly downvoting me and upvoting yourself is not going to make you look any better.

Yes, a lot of people don't know this - his family was from Amite. Both Rispone and Edwards have Tangipahoa ties.

Correct, the goal for Rispone would be to get in, coast and get out in 4 years without hurting or noticeably helping anything. Just get his name in the history books

That was during a time when the legislature was a lot more democrat, liberal with a lot of RINOs there.

The legislature that was elected last month is totally different from that. Especially so when there’s an outside shot at supermajorities in both chambers for conservatives.

Y’all can talk about “feelings” all you want. If JBE doesn’t get the black vote out, he’s beat, period. It all hinges on machine politics. The cash is about to hit the streets, will it be enough?

Rispone is winning it more than people think.
The recent impeachment charade can only damage every Democrat running for public office and help their opponent.

This election boils down to turnout. I'm disappointed
Scalise didn't run. This guy is a conservative, bright, and understands how the government process works.

Only an observation. How you take it is on you.

But your logic is fricking not logical.

The very vocal social media presence of every loser in BR, and their rat brained support of JBE, is Rispone's best campaign asset.

Same reason St George passed.

So based on your logic.

If Rispone is effective at implementing a pro-business agenda for the state -win.

If Rispone is not effective at implementing a pro-business agenda for the state-draw.

If Edwards is effective at implementing an anti-business agenda for the state - loose

If Edwards is not effective at implementing an anti-business agenda for the state -draw.

I guess my vote is for Rispone than waiting four years for a better candidate. You are not a Republican and need to gtfo.

I'm all for a constitutional convention. The first area that needs to be cut is public education support. Public schools have never been cut or had to operate efficiently. Watch what happens when Rispone tries to cut public schools or other areas that are pet projects of both Democrats and Republicans.

Sure could have even with Zero on the ballot in 2008. McCain won Louisiana, just so you know
