I am not and have not advocated any such thing....but older man stepped closer to younger man while verbally haranguing young man...no one knows what the intentions were of the older many but the older man but is not unreasonable for the young man to think he is stepping closer to him to attack him. Young man excercized his right to protect himself....by any measure.

No doubt in those states where this ridiculous law is in effect it is entirely possible and highly likely that I can start a fight, start getting my arse kicked and shoot the other person and I was merely standing my ground. It happens almost every time the defense is used. If you want to kill someone legally all you have to do is get in their face, verbally assault them until they react physically, pull out a gun and shoot them and you were standing your ground. Or, do like zimmerman, start following someone, under the cover of darkness, and when they react by attacking you because they think you are threatening them you shoot them and you were standing your ground. Of course this ONLY works if you are white...if youre black when you stand youre ground you are a violent animal and a product of a community which is inherently violent in a vacuum of all other stimulus....'cause youre black.

You and I are not in any position to judge the intentions of anyone but ourselves BUT, I would bet any amount of money you would like to raise that most people would assume a black man who was verbally haranguing someone in line at a convenience store was approaching the person when that person turns their back on the haranguer...the younger man turned away from the situation and stepped up to the counter...the older man stepped closer to the counter and in doing so closer to the young man, all the while still verbally haranguing the young man....it is perfectly reasonable to assume that the young man thought the older man was about to attack him physically. The younger man was standing his ground. He did not react physically until the older man closed the distance between them. It is perfectly logical to assume that an obviously emotionally disturbed individual acting the way the older man was acting may not be rational and may indeed be in the process of escalating from verbal abuse to physical abuse. The young man merely stood his ground. He increase the physical distance between himself and the older man...the older man then closed that distance, forcing the younger man to decide if he was going to be attacked or defend himself...he did what most men would do in that situation...but his being black of course means he merely did so because he is black and therefore inherently violent and incapable of avoiding physical confrontation despite having already proven to do so by creating greater distancing between himself and the older man....

I would prefer that 1). the BLM/ANTIFA terrorist not be asses and not do their subhuman nonsense. 2). Security or cops come and haul their worthless asses to jail for 60 days.

Again, not defending the punch but it's like we've had 9 pages of comments from posters who haven't watched that video.
I think it is entirely possible to carry on multiple conversations in these threads....anyone pretending to not understand how the old man was behaving in the manner typical of old white racists is either stupid or dishonest.
But yes, the young man was merely standing his ground. Fully justified in protecting himself when the older man approached him....those two are the only ones who can judge the intent of the older man and it is reasonable to assume that someone acting that way and approaching the target of their verbal harangue may be about to escalate the situation....especially when the other person has their back to them.

There is no doubt that the moderators of this board do not consider calling a black man a boy a racial slur. That does not mean that EVERYONE who is sentient knows full well that it is indeed a racial slur. If the moderators banned everyone who pretends not know these sorts of dog whistle racial slurs there would be 10 people left and they wouldn't earn any money.
