In addition to a large increase in litter and crime, in a few years you will see that the majority of these people will not properly maintain their home. You will see things like houses that are badly in need of paint and have rotting window trim. I don't know if it's because they don't know how to maintain the house or can't afford to or just don't care. Govt sponsored home ownership is terrible for the integrity of a neighborhood.

And we would have fewer homeless, cause the bums wouldn't be taught since childhood how to skim from working Americans. They would be harder workers at life.

They would not be homeless. They would have to spend more of their disposible income on housing or get jobs. Section 8 is a scam and a cancer on society. It will probably destroy the entire community because once a property goes section 8, in good time, all of the surrounding properties will go section 8 as well because only trash want to rent it and landlords know that it's a steady paycheck every month. Landlords also know that they won't have to worry about maintaining their property any more because section 8 tenants don't care, they'll just destroy the place anyways. Section 8 housing is responsible for 90% of the robberies and property crime around LSU's campus, as well as the vast majority of the murders and other violent crimes.

I believe it would be much higher as much of the section 8 support goes directly to people who are homeless. As you get closer to affordable housing it provides stability for a family which produces better job opportunities and education, so that would be more of an economic thing.

If you cancelled it now then the rate would be very high. But, if you never ever had it then it probably would be low because we wouldn't have a huge incentive for people to make terrible decisions all these years. Natural Selection would rightfully take hold.
