Get back to me when they pay their arrears which is probably well north of a trillion bucks.

Once again, another person who thinks that the 2% requirement involved some giant pot that everyone pays into. That is not how it works. There is no arrears to pay.

Bravo.

On a board filled daily with dumb, ignorant takes this has to be in the top 3 all time.

Well done.

Thinking that military might is the only way to achieve trade is even dumber, Jethro.

Providing their own defense spending and capable armed forces as a deterrent to Russia.

Exactly what you are bitching that some NATO members weren't doing until Russia invaded Ukraine.

Bitching about two of the most self-reliant (in military terms) nations in the world joining the alliance is one hell of a take.

Yep.
NATO expansion is provocative and stupid. But if it is going to occur, Sweden and Finland make more sense than most.

Germany is currently at an abismal 1.15 percent I believe. However thinks to the war in Ukraine they are doubling that and proposing even more.

After WWII, I don't think anyone including most Germans wanted to see Germany with a big military.

Its 2% of GDP where did you get this "pot of money" concept from. Your very slow to grasp simple concepts and rather quick to make assumptions.

You are the one talking about paying arrears, something that would only make sense if you believed that the 2% requirement involved the nations paying that money somewhere. That isn’t what happens. They spend it on themselves, the money was never owed to NATO or paid to NATO. No one else picked up their tab.
