He promised to sue these women. Whatever happened to that?

Donald Trump Says He Will Sue Sexual Misconduct Accusers. Law Experts Have Doubts; Oct. 22, 2016

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Saturday said he will sue the women who have accused him of sexual misconduct, making the announcement during a speech aimed at outlining his plans for the first 100 days of his potential presidency.

“Every woman lied when they came forward to hurt my campaign, total fabrication. The events never happened, never. All of these liars will be sued after the election is over,” Trump said, eliciting cheers from the crowd in Gettysburg, Penn.

He mentioned it in a speech about what he was going to do during his first 100 days in office.

His political opponents scream at the sky that he tweets in the morning, imagine their outrage if he tried to litigate defamation claims while president.

Canned sardines should replace hamburgers. Nobody likes sardines

Be kinda difficult to prove damages since he won the election and sits in the Oral Orifice.

Oh wait, it's back to being the Oval Office without a low ethics Dem there.

Or perhaps it was simply an attempt to discredit their allegations but he never intended to keep the threat?

Maybe it was. Maybe he wanted them to choose their words very carefully. Maybe he was going to sue but realized as a public figure he would spend a lot of money and the burden of proof would be so high that his chances for victory didn't warrant the suit. Maybe he was concerned about impacts on his executive immunity. We'll never know.

I suspect that he learned his lesson when he tried to sue Tim O'Brien for defamation and this happened:

quote:

The lawyers confronted the mogul with his past statements — and with his company’s internal documents, which often showed those statements had been incorrect or invented. The lawyers were relentless. Trump, the bigger-than-life mogul, was vulnerable — cornered, out-prepared and under oath. Thirty times, they caught him. Trump had misstated sales at his condo buildings. Inflated the price of membership at one of his golf clubs. Overstated the depth of his past debts and the number of his employees.
