A high school kid was beaten this week for wearing a MAGA hat. A high school drama dept just did a skit about killing Trump.

Let's worry about weed.

High school kids are being arrested and put in jail for carrying a small amount of a plant in their pocket.

Lol, maybe it is a signal that the DOJ will focus on enforcing laws instead of attempting to make the laws?

There are three branches of government, do you even know which the DOJ falls under?

i disagree

just look at the "law and order" comments defending sessions

even the ones ignorantly defending his stance on CAF in the other thread

Ehh, you see that as signaling 'let's go after the marijuana legalization folks'? I just don't necessarily -- at least at this point or until seeing someone strongly say otherwise.

Seems like Trump is a more 'finger-in-the-wind' guy on social issues like this. I just can't see him thinking it's a winning issue to start cracking down on this at this point, given the momentum on the issue. I can't imagine this is the law and order issue he wants to draw a line the sand on.

This country is so "ideological" that it has lost the ability to recognize pragmatism when it see it.That's all Trump is, a poulist pragmatist who wants to get positive shite done that makes our country and it's citizens more successful. Nobody is coming for your blunt, yo. Or your uterus.

And a snowflake protester was thrown down a flight of stairs. Both are irrelevant to the current discussion.

2 students and their apologetic, reprimanded teacher have become an entire HS drama department? Why exaggerate this shite? What is the point?

FAR more impactful toward policy than either of the above.

Let's worry about weed.

the federal laws on weed impacts tens of thousands more people negatively than 2 random incidents (that the DOJ has no real jurisdiction over)

I agree with this, FWIW. I think his approval and popularity will be extremely important to him. I just can't see him going after states, but the AG pick certainly gives me pause.

You are melting hardcore this morning. Take a deep breath, we'll be fine. The Drug War isn't our most pressing issue. Take the bad with the good

Everyone is affected by it.

It costs a ton of money (that we all pay) to enforce, arrest, and incarcerate. Then support those people that are released from prison and can't get jobs because they have records from possessing a schedule 1 drug which marijuana is.

Not to mention the GAINS we could make from legalizing pot and taxing it.

Ummm, its a huge fricking issue. Its one of the biggest failures in American history. It has cost this country trillions.
