The very few moderate Democrats I know vote that way because they believe the Republicans are going to go after there pensions. I'm not even joking.

The is no such thing. The only moderate Democrats are actually Republicans, who identify as Democrats for social credibility.
They can't let anyone know they are Republicans, because they won't be invited to cocktail parties and their kids won't be included in the liberal social groups.

I don't know but 90 percent of them would probably call themselves Independents.
