In reality, a Trump elector would probably switch to Biden, think John McCain-like and Trump would lose.

Goes to the house. Each state votes as a delegation.

GOP has the most states.

Trump/Pence wins.

With a 269 tie, it would take one, correct? or am i confused? the 269 is the number of electors, correct?

12th Amendment.

The President is selected by the House, but as pointed out each State's delegation is a single vote. So California has a ton of Democrats, but they only cast one vote for Biden; same with Texas' ton of Republicans and their one vote for Trump. The GOP controls 26 states, the Dems 22 (PA is evenly split, MI is dependent on the flake Amash who is "independent", so even if they go Dem Trump wins 26-24.

The Vice President is selected by the Senate, but unlike with the House each Senator votes separately. Though most polls have the Dems gaining seats none really expect the Senate to flip.

There are 538 total electoral votes. If one major candidate gets 269, barring a total shock with a third-party candidate getting a vote the other major candidate gets 269. A tie, thus we go to the 12th Amendment.

I explained bottom of page one.

Here's a map that shows how Trump would even win Colorado...it's based on house districts and it's winner take all for each state. Need 26 states to win the election.

Check that...I think the Denver area has a lot of blue districts that can't even be seen due to high population density. See L.A., Chicago, etc.

So, like I said, if one elector doesn't vote for Trump that was suppose to vote for Trump (they are not bound by law in most states) then its 270-268 for Biden.

I’m pretty sure a tie goes to the runner.
