Who bought the domain and/or runs the site now? I definitely agree the content is leftist versus before and it’s clear someone else runs it now but I’ve never actually seen any evidence to support the ‘transaction’ (e.g. domain management or PR announcement, however low profile it may have been to avoid publicity).

Twitter and Facebook have supplanted Drudge as the go-to sites for current events and breaking news. His stats have plummeted in the past few years and he's desperate to sensationalize everything for clicks. It's as simple as that.
