Pretty sure the main Republican party members have not supported DJT like you think it has.

I’ve figured most are corrupt. But let’s take democrats for example, you criticize their presidents and your a white supremacist or a Russian asset.

So who is pushing the more dangerous rhetoric here?

Liz Cheney is the textbook definition of conservative by any traditional standards

Please site your reference for that attribution.

Conservative most importantly revere the TRUTH - and abhor HYPOCRISY above all else in the political world.

We want fairness for all, opportunity for everyone, and good manners in public.

We revere the Constitution as the most politically inspirational document ever written.

We do not oppose keeping our governance "up with modern" trends in the way people live - BUT
and this is a BIG
BUT

we insist on changing our governmental norms by CONSTITUTIONAL means - not by fear of RIOTS and wayward prosecutions.

We believe you should always tell the TRUTH and admit when you screw up - you know - sort of live like we were raised.

We do NOT fall for every doe-eyed idea that oozes out of what has become a university system of producing malleable robots with no soul.

New ideas need to make SENSE first and foremost. And the proponents of those new ideas should be strenuously defended against ALL arguments against them.

Instead, the anti-conservaitve political party (democrats) have zero honor - have zero true compassion. THEy view every crisis as an opportunity to "make new laws that enhance OUR power" - and they do it under the guise of "Those horrible GOPers caused this crisis because they HATE ________ and _________ and __________" (fill in the blank according to who is suffering most)

old liberal/progressive

IF I had no knowledge about how those words have lost their meaning during the past half-century - I would consider myself with the same words - liberal progressive. (but I use the classical definition of those terms - not the total misconception of what them mean today when they roll off the tongues of democrats. In fact, I quit DEMs 'liberal a decade or so ago - because they are the biggest example of 'not liberal' and "not progressive" that exist today.

I like the way Jim Demint described it in his latest book.

Conservative doesn't mean never changing or never exploring new thing. It means keeping what works around. Preserving systems that make people happy and fufiled.

You are fighting a losing battle there - I have tried for decades to make that distinction, and finally gave it up - not worth the effort.

And please never refer to them as "liberal" - they are really just envious narcissists.

I believe the main job of all non progressives is to slow the evolution of egalitarian insanity. You cannot build a society by prioritizing your least capable.

Nope - big swing and miss there, barrister.

The democrats themselves substitute the word "democracy' most of the time when they are trying to refer to themselves.

And certainly the media whores love to insinuate that those who oppose the Democrat Party are therefore anti-democracy.

I just prefer to not leave myself open to those sorts of stupid 'attacks' and substitute my own characteristic I wish to promote - lately it has been "progstain'

if I don't want to engage at that level, the best I will do is call them "DEMS" (or 'dims')

What I NEVER do is call them "liberal" or "progressive" - because those terms all derive from honorable roots. There is nothing honorable about anything the Dems have done in the past half-century.

The few honorable individuals who were in that long-ago honorable party are now dead or totally retired. I cannot think of one really good citizen at any level of democrat party office holder above the local, or limited state, level.

This party is now fully committed to unwholesome goals, totally in opposition to our founding principles, and cannot speak the truth about any issue they talk about. Nothing they do is for anything except establishing a permanent tyrannical government - by any means necessary - regardless of cost.

The Democrat party has reached true cult status.

Thanks for answering the question. I agree with your definition. What I don’t understand is why so many people that advocate for these things are labeled as liberal simply because they oppose Trump.

Exactly. The Democrat party is progressive, not liberal.
