Tax the rich
Feed the poor
Till there are
Rich no more

Notice the lyrics are not “Till there are poor no more”. The point is not to eliminate poverty. The point is to eliminate prosperity.

Equality in squalor.

Liberal philosophy is anyone who makes $1 more than you is rich. And they try to convince you that's unfair. What the mindless followers of the left fail to realize is there's always someone who makes $1 less than them who think that's equally unfair.

Fair to progs is everyone having the same outcome, where no one has it better than anyone else regardless of effort and achievement.

Because "fair share" is a vague, ambiguous term they can always use, no matter what people pay. It just means "more"

It also directly implies they AREN'T currently paying their fair.

You could tax the rich at 90% and they would still say "they need to pay their fair share"

They don't know, and don't care.

Yeah, but it’s the same percentage.

Is your goal that everyone has the same amount left over after taxes?

That is horse shite. People who make more than I do generally work harder and or do shite that I do not want to do. There is nothing "fair" about somebody working harder getting screwed because of it.

Whining about inheritance is one of the stupidest things leftists do. One of the primary reasons people strive is to provide their kids advantages. Not having the opportunity to succeed on your own can be its own burden anyway for non-simple minded people.

I would have been smart enough to be a doctor but I never wanted to deal with sick people. I didn't want to be a lawyer because I didn't want to deal with other lawyers. I don't care what they make because I make enough.

“Fair share” means enough to pay their living expenses and health care so they don’t have to find a real job.

If you have to ask, you're clearly not paying enough.

Many, many of us already pay our "fair" share ... but it tends to be squandered by those who have agendas that are much different than the taxed. This pisses people off, and it always has (think feudal system)

Tax Freedom Day is the day of the year when taxpayers begin working for themselves instead of the government .... and those goalposts get moved later and later in the calendar year each and every year.

Alaska has it best ... March 25th.
Louisiana has it 3rd best ... April 4th
Georgia on April 7th

New Jersey at 49th is May 1st
New York is 50th on May 3rd

What they say they want is Denmark. In Denmark, you get hit with the top tax bracket of 60% once you pass 1.2 times the average national income.

In other words, in the USA, you'd enter the 60% tax bracket at about $55k.

NO ONE, including democrats, are going to accept that. They just like muh Scandinavia. They soak the middle and even lower class to pay for their stuff.

When I hear the word fair come out of a Democrats mouth I automatically know it's not fair.

You need to realize that’ your income is not yours. It’s all theirs, they are just determining how much they will let you use. From time to time adjustments (increased taxes) are necessary so that you don’t keep too much of their money.

That’s not my attitude, but how I view the Left’s position on wealth or income.

It's probably much later than that now since they lost being able to claim State taxes on their federal returns.
