You dont think they can charge the dad for improper storage? They will find something since they were in the same house.
Plus all the wrongful death possibilities. If they saw any signs of this psychotic behavior and didnt report it i would think they are open for suits.

Honestly, I would imagine most people feel bad for them. As someone who has a kid with bipolar disorder, I can say from first hand experience, sometimes the parents can break their backs with blood, sweat and tears to try to get their kid on the right path. Sometimes it doesn't happen. I don't know these people, but at the end of the day, he was an independent 20 year that went mad. They didn't.
Good post.
This family will need tremendous support and I hope they get it.

The dad needs to go to prison. Hard to imagine what kind of fricked up family would produce such an evil offspring.

I think they would really like to know what happened with their son - why he chose to do it.
IMO, he was a loner, ostracized, trying to find where he fit in. And because of that he was an easy target for those the organized the attempt. I think he was instructed to shoot Trump, drop his weapon, and surrender. That they would get him off on insanity (all the while knowing he'd get killed so he wouldn't talk).
OTOH, if they're really a bunch of whacked-out lib-nuts themselves, they probably view him as a martyr.
