Doing my normal Sunday shopping to get ready for the week

One thing I noticed at both stores..

Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags

All of the named brand expensive shite like Charmin, Hefty, etc are over stocked

All of the Kroger brand and Walmart brands and no named brands were 100% empty

But the economy is doing great because the stock market hit forty!

As the stock market hits new highs the purchasing power of the USD is dwindling.

Charmin. That’s my TP.

Can’t stand the one ply where your finger rips through it, giving yourself a prostate exam. I’ll pay the extra $5. For the good stuff.

Kroger brand TP is $10 cheaper and just as good. I wipe my butthole with it all the time. No complaints here and I have an extra $10 bucks to put towards my rogaine

Related or not, I'm seeing more and more TP ads on the internet. Not so subtle hint for folks to stock up?

Or just random marketing.

Compared to the world?

Last I checked the USD was incredibly strong compared to any other option

If Trump hadn't approved that COVID bomb, we wouldn't be here.

High inflation makes the markets go up (well, the number is higher but the value isn't higher)

Good economies the numbers go up and you actually increase wealth.

it's good no doubt but easy to use too much, especially other people like teenagers who don't have to fix the clog

I like the walmart stuff. better price and pretty soft.

Probably marketing.

School's ending this month. Kids are gonna using TP at home instead of at school. My guess is it's a seasonal trend thing.

I'm looking forward to Trump being elected so we can have stock market pep rallies on this board again and talk about all of the winning that America is doing.. The "stock market isn't the economy" routine is a buzzkill.

You’re telling us that you know the economy is bad because of toilet paper sales? Riveting.

one word:

Walgreen's

Pepperidge Farm remembers PDJT's bigly economy until the coup of 2020.

America was winning dipshite. Abraham Accords, unemployment lowest for all, companies investing in America, gas and energy much more affordable, groceries much more affordable, NATO starting to pay their share, renewed trade negotiations with Europe, Asia and Mexico.

In the words of the great RWR, "a rising tide lifts all boats".

Go get that 2nd mortgage so your kids can go to school.
It now costs over 11K per year for a family to maintain the same lifestyle as pre-2020.

You do you, though.
