Why does it take several hours to search the house. Certainly not just for a squirrel and raccoon. Maybe hoping to find illegal guns or illegal porn. Something they can stick him with for maximum punishment. Or maybe going through his records to see who else they can go after.

The warrants and permissions are granted and carried out by wildlife departments and they only have to involve LEO to inform them that something is happening or to ask for assistance if it's needed. Wildlife officials actually have a LOT more authority than regular LEO. I'm sure you already knew that, right?
