One can watch ten minutes of TV commercials and know the ‘heart’ of contemporary American culture. Petty narcissism and status based attention seeking, the ‘love of money’ as a means to power, consumerism, “idolatry (“the worship of things made with the hands”) and the mountains of garbage, environmental degradation and the instinctual and runaway procreation of burgeoning masses of people with little or no vision, wisdom, self control moving toward virtually heathen subcultures, all come together in a “perfect storm “ as Social Media now ‘educates’ and pits the affluent against the teeming, envious and increasingly desperate masses and underclasses. The “let them eat cake” narrative won’t cut it as Marxist ideology expands with Leftist DEI MSM beating the drums of compassion, empathy and inclusion for the sake of secular and religious unity and “social justice “. And the increasingly complex and VULNERABLE Infrastructure which supports life giving goods and services hangs by a thread as High Tech threatens said Infrastructure as much as it strengthens it. And I could rant on for another ten paragraphs.

It is so ironic that both Judaism and Islam believe in establishing a ‘Just Society “”’ on this Earth as their prime directive. And that both Christianity and Eastern Spiritual culture (Buddhism, Hinduism, et al) works towards refining one’s Personal Character’ (think Vision) as a means of creating a more prosperous society and/or “going to Heaven”. Regardless, the competitive nature of Humanity rules the day as those like M Kramer preaches control of the competing masses thought and conversation from his competition acquired guided tower. Ha ha. He knows what is coming. A lot of us do. At least those “with eyes that see”.

We are riding the proverbialTitanic’ and we had better damn well hope and pray that Jesus is real and has got this, as promised in the Biblical prophetic narrative. And that ‘’He’ will do his assigned job as Savior and will show up after we learn the final lesson that we CANNOT save ourselves no matter good intentions and our best efforts. Else wise it will be the “Fermi Paradox” in some way, shape or form. And we’ll end up like all those former great civilizations whose grand monuments now stick out of the mud.

I’m going to drop the dark, embrace the Hope in Faith and go back to being astounded, and humbled at just witnessing this Divine Drama.
