Trump wants a trial in the Senate. He said it himself on Fox & Friends. If Pelosi and the Dems in the House call his bluff, and they impeach him, this thing goes to the Senate for trial. With the announcement that Lindsey Graham has launched an investigation into the Bidens over Burisma, he will undoubtedly be called to the Hill to answer questions with his son.
Harris, Warren, Booker, and Sanders will also have to come off the campaign trail for the trial and the Republicans, who control the Senate, can drag the impeachment trial on for as long as they want. Meanwhile, Trump is out there campaigning while his most serious Democratic challengers are stuck on Capitol Hill in a trial the Republicans will ensure renders a not guilty verdict in Trump's favor.
Pelosi probably sees this happening now which is why you're starting to hear talks about censuring Trump instead of impeaching him. If she does that after this dog and pony show, the more radical elements of the DNC will turn away from the party and will likely stay home next November.
Pelosi has been painted into a corner and either outcome will turn out bad for the Democrats. This is what happens when you fail to let sleeping dogs lie.

This is why no President in US history has ever been impeached in their first term. It is dumb and counter productive and makes the charging party appear as if they don't trust the voter's choice.

It's either 4-D Intergalaltic Wizard's Chess on Trump's part....OR....it could possibly be negative (-) 4-D Intergalaltic Wizard's Chess on the Democrats' part. That's some disgustingly bad chess play right there. But I guess either way, same result eh?

Not quite true.
Andrew Johnson was impeached in the House and was almost thrown out of office by the Senate in his first and only term. The vote fell one short of a two-thirds majority in the Senate.

Chess? LOL! Dream on broomstick cowboy, this is partisan politics 101. Trump DID NOT want to be impeached by the House of Representative Democrats. "No president wants to be impeached"...right out of his mouth. He was handed a bucket of snakes (Ukraine) by the corrupt Obama admin and made it worse for himself by hiring Rudy G. But if it had not been Ukraine it would have been something else. The government under Obama was a criminal enterprise with top law enforcement and intelligence agencies corrupted in a scary fashion. A political MOB in every sense and it still exists.
His outsider status has also sadly bitten him. He kept a ton of career bureaucrats in positions who have rebelled against him because of his somewhat unorthodox style. And the Dems have used his disconnected, outsider status to practically paralyze the US government for their own political survival for the last 3 years. It's criminal what they are doing but effective to this point. The real idiots here are the brain dead American independents and suburban housewives who allowed the House to change hands mid term. Played right into the criminal mob like left's hands. The media, the bureaucrats, the hangers-on, the deal makers and the career politicians were never going down without a shootout. And they will probably win long term.

Last of the silent generation here. But whatever. Your empty of substance, political fandom is an indictment. This all a hobby for you, you've got a team and that's it. A rebel without a cause.

Actually SILENT. Being a fan is easy, no work required. No real substance or rationale or reason. Best of all you never have to say you're sorry. Just pick a team and go with it.

Fantastic synopsis of my own take on all this bullshite.

The problem for the Democrats is that ironically Trump shares with them an absence of shame and is willing to wallow around in the muck with them in full public view. They never counted on this.
The difference is that Trump's lack of shame is based on a high degree of self-esteem and self-confidence and a desire to do good, whereas the Democrats' lack of shame emanates from a lack of empathy, an absence of souls, and devious intent.

They are a lot more worried about Schiffless and his crew of hired guns having to testify under oath. Surely Obama and the Clintons are telling the Dims to STFU lest the lights shine on them
