When the Dems take Congress in the mid-terms the blame should fall squarely in the shoulders of the Washington Generals (i.e., Congressional GOP).

I mean, what do you want him to do? Take the rino's and dems out back and put a bullet in their heads? POTUS is not a dictatorial position and one could make an argument that he is exposing these leaders for the un-American people they are. If we the people don't get rid of them, that falls on us.

Republicans and democrats both are part of a club. And you and I arent allowed in it.
Republicans are actually the worse (and I am one), we want to be the minority party so they can fundraise and complain about all the things the democrats are doing. Then if by off chance we win we do NOTHING with it. We currently have the white house and senate and house, and we have passed zero significant laws. We cant even pass legislation to keep the government open.
Say what you will about the democrats but when they are in power they get (bad) things accomplished.

I feel very confident in saying that the 2028 election will be very similar to 2008 if Dems put forth even a decent candidate, and it could as much or more destructive than 2008-2016.

I remember how hard Obama pushed Obamacare. He lobbied the hell out of Congress and put as much pressure as he possibly could to get Congress to pass what he wanted. Trump has barely done shite to get the Save Act through.
It is not just Trump - it is the way this has been for a while. People elect a "conservative" and the conservative changes everything via the stroke of a pen (executive orders, etc) and through foreign policy. Which, of course, changes with the stroke of a pen and a change in foreign policy. (although the latter never really changes.)
Democrats do the hard work of legislative change - which is more permanent. Almost all the good things Trump has done this term can easily be reversed just by having a Democrat as President. Nothing has fundamentally changed.

Trump let himself get derailed by foreign bullshite.
He should’ve commanded the bully pulpit and beat these items relentlessly:
Save Act
DOGE cuts and fraud - nix USAID
Going after NGOs that incite violence and obstruction of justice
Revise sanctuary status and birthright citizenship in immigration law (not EO)
Pullback regulatory authority of agencies when it comes to energy production and Green initiatives.
Those alone would’ve gotten overwhelming public support.
