Everyone complains that the McCain’s of this world are the swamp, but the issue lies within us. But when re-election comes, whether it be primaries or against the other party, we think it’s better to vote them back in and I disagree.

I have a friend in Kentucky and when McConnell was up for re-election I told him his vote was very important to vote out the republican for a 1st term democrat who also supported the 2nd ammendment.

If we are patriots it isn’t left or right it’s that people who stay in Congress too long think they have the power and not the people. They are the threat when they no longer think they are serving us.

We the people should decide that after 2 terms, you gone. Once we do the swamp is gone.

Term limits may sound good, but at the end of the day, they just deprive the people of the right to vote for whomever they want.

If it were only that simple. But why did you choose 2 terms? Why not 3 or why not 1? Realistically it's the power brokers that control much of the decisions at the fed level. Someone can always be bought because of greed and selfishness.

“We the people” cant agree where to eat lunch and that’s just those in my car. But you’re going to get everyone to agree to vote out people after two term limits regardless of party affiliation. Because we’re the problem.

Check please on this thread. Make it law. Term limits. Full stop.

Allowing term limits to turn us into single issue voters is a bit near sighted.

The bigger point of the post is that when we realize someone has their interest in Congress over the citizens then it’s time to go.

Government should be small and promote liberty and freedom. The swamp promotes themselves and think they are part of some type of monarchy.

Yes, they do.

And there's a mechanism for the voters to change those if they so desire.
