Holy shite that's stupid and reckless.

Ask yourself what happens globally if the US is thought of as a paper tiger once again.

That’s bad on a global scale. We’ve seen it on our soil with Al Qaeda. We’ve seen it in Africa, Georgia and the Middle East when Obama was in office. We saw it yet again with Russia invading Ukraine. That’s why we have to remain vigilant. Unfortunately that responsibility comes with our position in the world. Trump, to his credit, let it be known that we were not to be trifled with and it brought about peace and stability. That didn’t happen by accident.

If he would have prepped on ukraine better would have helped him.

He mentioned mobilized troops, but I would have liked him mentioning the White House announcing a stop loss and calling IRR back to active duty.

That should be worrisome. I know the talking point about it is because of exercises in Europe. My question is how bad our current reserve component strength is if we have to activate IRR and do a stop loss just to participate in an exercise?

Exactly. To them, nobody can beat that answer because they legitimately believe it's possible without totally crashing America's prominence and power on the world stage.

If a president just packs up and abandons Ukraine on day one, leaving them totally on their own... Taiwan gets attacked shortly after because they see an American president that will not intervene and will leave his allies out to dry. This goes well beyond China/Taiwan as well, the rest of the world will see it.

That being said, continuously sending our tax dollars and ammunition to the detriment of America itself CANNOT continue. There is no real "right" answer at this time.

If there would be one thing that COULD allow us to take a backseat and stop sending money and ammo, it would be European countries taking over the charge of supporting Ukraine themselves and agreeing to collectively supply them with the same amount of aid we currently are - which is what should happen.

I don't think anyone has the answer on how to force that to happen though. Especially not a candidate that doesn't have the full inside information and power that the president has in order to pull the best levers to coerce those European countries to chip in more.

I'm not sure how Desantis or any of the other candidates could legitimately answer how they'd end the war while stopping our contributions, simply because we don't know what it'll look like in 2025 and we don't know what it would take to make other nations step up and take over supplying them. We don't really know what Putin WANTS as his end goal to even approach him looking for an answer to compromise.

Desantis has promised that we will never have any troops involved and said his plan would be to make the European countries who are actually affected by this conflict in their backyard to contribute enough that our aid is not needed - I'm not sure there's a more "correct" answer right now.

Yes, all those legislative wins for Floridians have been super annoying. I would almost say, I am annoyed with all the winning.

I disagree, I actually like his delivery and ability to make points. Is he going to stumble at times? Yes, as do all politicians. I like his energy behind his answers.

That's it?

Come on man, I am Trump and I can tear some of his answers down too, and he isn't always on point every time. Gives answers that make me scratch my head. OVERALL, I like Ron's ability to communicate.
