If any city in the Deep South suddenly had 25,000 jobs paying an average of 150k, it would transform those cities.

With all these businesses flocking to Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alabama, to get away from NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, et al, the South is rising again.

And sadly turning into the North.

What more to expect from the communist? She’s an enemy of America and should be in prison not in Congress

25,000 great quality jobs is a massive loss for any state.

If you figure that each person has an average family size of 4, that's like losing a city of 100,000 people. You factor in government, church, service jobs that would also need to provide for that "town", and you've lost a Tallahassee from your state, solely due to prog culture.

She shouldn't survive re-election. But it is New York we are talking about.

Sadly. Just like in Venezuela, the people WANT her to do what she did AND, they'll blame corporate "greed" for any pain they end up feeling.

Look at the Greeks and the Venezuelans. When their socialism failed, did they says, "shite, this socialism is a bad idea? NOOOOOO. They STILL want it. They just think their had bad socialist leaders!

Socialism just never has been done right. It'll work perfectly if done right. AOC and Bernie are the people to finally get it right.

Everyone should. 25,000 great quality jobs is a massive loss for any state.

The way Gianaris and AOC see it is that they are preserving their voting base because , first of all they maintain that thousands of people will be displaced because of the rising rents that will come as the project would start to take off

What's the politician's first job?
GET ELECTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's the politician's second job?

STAY ELECTED.....think about it from a pure politician's standpoint. they already have a vapor lock on the area....it's not full of middle class or even lower middle class types......it's barely working class . There would be no guarantee that the 25,000 people would all be New Yorkers or locals.....their pocketbooks were at stake! Keep the electorate relatively poor and wanting, throw them some crumbs like a community center, etc and they'll keep voting for you
