LINK

In about 2 years Kansas went from a $700 million surplus to a $300 million deficit.

Kansas has been 1 of the 5 slowest states in job growth and economic growth since the tax cuts were enacted.

Yeah. It has nothing to do with the tax hikes on the federal level.

You can find examples of a up tic in a economy despite tax increases and also of a down turn inspite of tax cuts.

Neither is a absolute like you try to assume. Economies are vast and complex. Your statement is narrow and void of clear thought. Sorry.

What? Tax breaks for the rich on the back of the working class don't work? No kidding.

I don't think you understand what this means.

And once and for all, please explain how the poor provide jobs?

You might want to do a little deeper research about what happened and why the budget deficit is there.

Here's a two word hint:

I would imagine there are just a few more metrics involved with this. Just a few.........

If they did that, they'd never vote for either party.

Please, do a little research and see how both parties want to frick you then tell you how the other party is to blame.

Funny how you can interpret data from one state as conclusive for the failure of an economic policy on a global basis when it comes to taxes. But you will ignore failures of economic policies as even indicative when it comes to spending. Do you even recognize your hypocrisy?

I'll end by paraphrasing Obama supporters. Just think how bad Kansas' economy would have been if they hadn't passed this measure to stimulate their economy?

Oh, I know. Then some dumbasses tried to explain that "consumers" create jobs.

Yeah, that's it. Consumers created iPods & Cars & raise cattle, etc, etc.

I noticed that the article did not take into account the massive drop in crop prices, especially since Kansas's largest industry in agriculture. In 2012, corn prices were over $7/bu and now they are around $3.50 ($3.66 yo be exact) and soybeans were at almost $18/bu and now are $10.10 at the moment. We sold wheat for $8.35 in May of 2012 and not wheat is $5.56. The lower prices means that farmers spend less money to grow their crop which means less $$$ in the local economies (all of Kansas bascially).

Long story short, the article in your link is bullshite because it does not look into why revenues are down, but you libtards don't care why yall just repeat talking points.

Does this critique include federal government confiscation and redistribution efforts? Do they trickle down to shovel ready jobs better or worse than letting wage earners keep more of what they earn?

Is that Obamanomics? Cause no one has benifitted more than them under Obama. Heck, he might even take Employee healthcare off their plate, too...

So revenue fell drastically on the local, state and federal levels after the crash of 2008, yet you contards never take that into consideration when speaking of the debt.

That said, there's a fundamental difference in the way the two sides believe this should be handled. On the federal level the stimulus was 28% tax cuts, about a third in help to local and state govts with their deficits and the rest in various actual "stimulus" projects.thats another thing you guys don't mention.

Kansas took the Hoover route and let the state starve.

You and I can argue which is the best approach, but for it to be an honest debate, you'd have to acknowledge what really happened and that Democrats were not actually practicing "economic terrorism" as Sentrius (and others) claimed.
