Just because we do things democratically in our Republic, that does not make us a democracy. Anyone that does not understand this point should be ineligible for running for office at any level.
The real problem is, they do know better, they just don't care. The modern left is head over heels in love with intellectual dishonesty, so long as it yields votes.
