vivek ran a great campaign. came from nothing in terms of political support and name.

I believe Desantis is smart. Unfortunately, I think he somehow has come to believe that his advisors are smarter. If he had run Vivek's campaign strategy, it would be a neck-and-neck two man race between he and Trump. If he'd waited until '28, he'd be a lock.
Haley wouldn't have even entered the race. She'd have just kissed arse in hopes of someone picking her as the VP candidate.

So the MFer 4 days ago says he's in it until the end; then quits. Politicians will disappoint you every time.
There is no doubt Trump was winning but I'll admit I bought in to Vivek because he stated he was in it for the long haul. I liked the idea of Vivek challenging Trump to keep him America First-conservative focused.

It just means he can discern where the end is.

What he wants to do and what his donors want him to do are not always aligned. It takes money to run and if his donors tell him they are backing trump or another candidate what can he do. I think this is smart - he can stay on the campaign trail and continue to make a name for himself. The only gamble is if trump decides he doesn’t like him and trashes him like he seems to do.

I don't think you can say a man who went to every county in Iowa twice "quit"
I think sadly the result just wasn't good enough to win. He recognizes that and realizes that an American First candidate is the most important accomplishment for 2024 so he smartly stepped aside. I wish the people in Iowa would have rewarded his hard work, but perhaps they will the next time around.
